Mindy Robbins is a passionate performer, educator, and co-founder of Utah COPA (Conservatory of Performing Arts), which began in her basement in 2006 and has since expanded to three locations across Utah. Mindy began performing at the age of four, started private voice lessons at six, began working professionally at sixteen, and was teaching voice by nineteen.
Mindy’s stage credits include roles on the Tuacahn stage such as Miss Honey in Matilda, Grace in Annie, Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins, Maria in The Sound of Music, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, and Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun. She toured with the Broadway Company of Les Misérables, covering the role of Éponine—performed by Sutton Foster—and sharing the stage with Colm Wilkinson. Mindy's other professional credits include performances at Walt Disney World (Hoop Dee Doo and Kids of the Kingdom), Tokyo Disney (Pecos Goofy), BYU’s Young Ambassadors, and Lagoon’s Music USA. She has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic in Lex De Azevedo’s Gloria, The Life of Christ as Mary, and has shared the stage with artists such as Colm Wilkinson, Jason Alexander, Sutton Foster, and Sam Harris.
In addition to stage work, Mindy has recorded music for Disney, iTunes karaoke tracks, numerous radio commercials, and collaborated with Mandy Moore. Her television credits include a guest-starring role on the national series Touched by an Angel and appearances in national commercials.
Mindy holds a BFA in Music Dance Theater from Brigham Young University, where she has also taught voice in the School of Music. As the Artistic Director of the Music, Dance, Theater program at Utah COPA and a member of the Actor’s Equity Association, she is devoted to nurturing the next generation of performers. Mindy is married to Conor Robbins, and together they have four children.
